Tricia M. Robertson is the Director of Sycuan Inter-Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation in San Diego, California serving the AIVRS/TVR community since 2020. She, also, works as an instructor at the TVR Institute at Northwest Indian College, sharing her expertise with her peers and students. Beyond her professional roles, she co-founded the West Hills High School Assistance Fund to support alumni during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
Ms. Robertson is a proud first-generation college graduate who earned her bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University before going on to earn two California Teaching Credentials and a master’s degree. These achievements opened the door to a rewarding career as a middle school teacher and part-time adult ESL instructor. Over time, however, she felt a calling to work with adults living with disabilities. Having grown up with a mother who lives with a disability, Ms. Robertson developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by adults living with disabilities; she desired a career change. The chance arose to join the AIVRS/TVR community working for the Sycuan Inter-Tribal VR Project. She jumped on it and has not looked back. Working for SITVR Project is the perfect path to combine her love of education with her commitment to service and advocacy.
In her spare time, Ms. Robertson cherishes moments with her family and friends, a vibrant group who share her love of sports, music, travel, as well as community service. Their shared passions bring joy, balance, and laughter to her life. Ms. Robertson feels blessed to born and raised in San Diego County, a place where her roots and connections to her family, friends and community enrich and sustain her life.
